The short version
- We collect the minimum: your email, your name, and the content you publish.
- Analytics are first-party only — no ad trackers, no fingerprinting, one session cookie.
- When you view a protected script, its owner can see that your account viewed it.
- Our hosting (Google Cloud), email (Resend), error monitoring (Sentry), and bot protection (Cloudflare) providers touch your data — we never sell it.
- Email us to delete your account; it's gone within 30 days.
Little Indie Films is operated by Scratchmade LLC. This policy describes what we collect and how we use it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the Service, we run our own first-party analytics instead of ad trackers, and we never sell your data.
What we collect
- Account data — your email address and name, provided when you register or accept an invite.
- Content — the films, scripts, images, and text you choose to publish on your site.
- Usage analytics — first-party page views and video plays, recorded without cross-site tracking, advertising identifiers, or fingerprinting. Filmmakers see aggregate counts for their own sites.
- Protected-document access logs — when you view a protected script, the owner can see that your account viewed it (this is disclosed on the reader page).
- Cookies — a single session cookie (
lif_session) to keep you signed in. No advertising or third-party cookies.
How we use it
To operate the Service: signing you in, serving your site, delivering emails you request (sign-in links, announcements from filmmakers you follow), showing filmmakers how their work is performing, and protecting scripts from unauthorized distribution.
Who processes it
- Google Cloud Platform — hosting, database, and file storage (United States).
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Sentry — error monitoring, so we find out about bugs before they pile up as support requests. Sentry doesn't set advertising or tracking cookies.
- Cloudflare — Turnstile, a privacy-preserving bot check on sign-in and registration (no tracking cookie, no puzzles).
These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
Announcement emails from filmmakers you follow always include an unsubscribe option. Sign-in link emails are transactional and sent only when you request them.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. To access or delete your data, email us — we will delete your account and content within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal reasons.
Children
The Service is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Users under 18 require parental permission per our Terms.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be announced on the Service.
